Jeremy is a career litigator with a passion for general commercial litigation, contractual disputes, construction law, and Federal Indian Law. He originally “cut his teeth” as a Public Defender, in both the state and tribal courts of Oklahoma, representing individuals in court when they are at their lowest. All that’s to say, he’s done it all.

Jeremy received his Juris Doctor, as well as a Masters in Native American Studies, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2017. Immediately after law school, Jeremy served as a Public Defender with Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, Inc. (OILS), where he also worked as Guardian ad litem for 10+ tribal courts in Oklahoma. During that time, Jeremy was also honored to help draft Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s first Domestic Violence Code, which is still the law of the land today. In addition, he also represented clients in various civil matters: guardianships, probates, adoptions, juvenile deprived cases, etc.

In 2018, Jeremy joined the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office (TCPD). Over the next three years, he represented clients in criminal matters, child guardianships, adult guardianships, adult protective service guardianships, adoptions, etc.

During that same time, Jeremy took a sabbatical from TCPD to assist the Texas Democratic Party as their Deputy Research Director. In this role, he collected, catalogued, and analyzed opposition research on Republican Candidates during the 2020 election cycle. Jeremy’s work was featured in 30+ articles around the country including the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.

Most recently, Jeremy joined McDaniel Acord, PLLC, in 2022, as a Civil Litigation Associate. It was at McDaniel Acord that he rekindled his passion for legal research and writing. His practice included General Commercial Litigation, Design Professional Liability Defense, Environmental and Toxic Tort Defense, Construction Defect Litigation, Family Law, Federal Indian Law, and Education Law. That practice included in-court advocacy on behalf of many business entities from Oklahoma, and around the world, but mostly it included a robust motion practice: Motions for Summary Judgment, Motions to Dismiss, Motions to Compel, Motions to Stay, etc.

Jeremy’s focus is complex civil litigation, but he still represents individuals in criminal matters and family law cases as his caseload allows.

Whether you are raising your own cause of action or you require a fair and adequate defense, Jeremy and his team at All Rise! are here to help.
