Jeremy is a career litigator with a passion for Federal Indian Law, Tribal Law, Commercial Litigation, and Contractual Disputes. Currently, he serves as Assistant Attorney General and/or Assistant General Counsel for the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma, Pawnee Nation, and the Wichita & Affiliated Tribes. Jeremy also serves as the Attorney for the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma’s Election Board and Counsel for the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians.

Jeremy received his Juris Doctor, as well as a Masters in Native American Studies, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2017. Immediately after law school, Jeremy served as a Public Defender and Staff Attorney with Oklahoma Indian Legal Services, Inc. (OILS), where he also worked as Guardian ad litem (GAL) for 10+ tribal courts in Oklahoma. During that time, Jeremy was also honored to be asked to help draft Comanche Nation’s first Domestic Violence Code, which is still the law of the land today. In addition, Jeremy represented clients in various civil matters: guardianships, probates, adoptions, juvenile deprived cases, etc.

Jeremy then joined the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office (TCPD). Over the next three years, he represented clients in criminal matters, child guardianships, adult guardianships, adult protective service guardianships, adoptions, etc.

During that same time, Jeremy took a sabbatical from TCPD to assist the Texas Democratic Party as their Deputy Research Director. In this role, he collected, catalogued, and analyzed opposition research on Republican Candidates during the 2020 election cycle. Jeremy’s work was featured in 30+ articles around the country including the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.

Before he was a Founder of All Rise!, Jeremy had joined McDaniel Acord, PLLC, in 2022, as a Civil Litigation Associate. It was at McDaniel Acord that he rekindled his passion for legal research and writing. His practice included General Commercial Litigation, Design Professional Liability Defense, Environmental and Toxic Tort Defense, Construction Defect Litigation, Family Law, Federal Indian Law, and Education Law. That practice included in-court advocacy on behalf of many business entities from Oklahoma, and around the world, but mostly it included a robust motion practice: Motions for Summary Judgment, Motions to Dismiss, Motions to Compel, Motions to Stay, etc.

Jeremy’s focuses are complex civil litigation and tribal governance, but he still represents individuals in criminal matters and family law cases, but only when his caseload allows.

Whether you are raising your own cause of action or you require a fair and adequate defense, Jeremy and his team at All Rise! are here to help.
