Reagan is the newest member of the All Rise! team and a proud member of the Kaw Nation of Oklahoma. As a tribal citizen, Reagan understands just how important the issues facing Indian country are today and is dedicated to serving the tribes across the state. That was his goal when he applied to law school and still serves as his goal for his practice today. His initial exposure to the practice of tribal law was the Sovereignty Symposium back in 2018 where he found his inspiration for the type of attorney that he wants to be today, and his commitment to this ideal has remained unwavering.
Reagan received his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2023, where he utilized his time to learn and participate in as many aspects of tribal law as possible. For this focus, he was awarded the American Indian Law certificate upon graduation. As a 2L he participated in the National Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) Moot Court Competition. Reagan wrote on to the American Indian Law review in 2022 and received the Outstanding Write On award in 2023 for his performance. Reagan’s longest extracurricular involvement was through his time spent in OU’s chapter of NALSA. His participation began in his 1L year, and it never stopped. In 2020, he served as one of the NALSA 1L class representatives to promote the association across the college. The following year he served as the NALSA vice-president under the leadership of Ryan Sailors. For his final year at the law school, Reagan was elected President of NALSA where he worked to increase participation and expand the presence of the organization at OU Law. During his tenure as president, NALSA hosted the first ever tribal leadership roundtable at OU Law. During the roundtable, tribal leaders from the four corners of the state came to discuss sovereignty issues to a crowd of law students and professors in the newly dedicated Chickasaw Nation learning center.
During law school Reagan interned at Devol & Associates where he was later hired as an associate in 2023. He conducted legal research on issues of tribal sovereignty. He also worked to prepare memoranda and legal arguments for court briefs regarding the most recent cases effecting tribal laws and rights. His work further consisted of adjudication reports for ICW cases, as well as the review and drafting of tribal codes for various tribes in Oklahoma.
Reagan is eager to begin his time at All Rise! where he will lay the foundation for his service as a tribal citizen and lawyer.
